UPCOMING PROJECTS

Updates

I have one MAJOR upcoming project in the works at this time. I am narrating a 10+ hour audiobook version of a book being written about a person I am familiar with from my years in the sport of Skydiving. I'm sure most skydivers have heard of Jerry Bird, and a great many have personally met Jerry, somewhere in their time in the sport. Jerry and I crossed paths at the Chilliwack CSPA Nationals (He has a story about that event....) . He is truly a legend in the skydiving world.

Greetings, friends of Jerry Bird!

The Bird Book is in its final stages of the publishing process: We have a worldwide release date set for October 1, 2025.

I spoke with Jerry by phone yesterday and he is excited to see the finished book. Although his own stories are woven throughout, it is also a biography of Jerry Bird, meaning it reflects not just Bird's perspective but what many others have written or said about Jerry. This is what separates autobiography from biography. Yet Jerry's voice on the page, his memoirs of certain events, are the beating heart.

The book will be distributed internationally by both Amazon and Ingram. Ingram distributes to Barnes & Noble and to independent bookstores. There will be a trade paperback edition, an ebook edition, and a special hardcover edition. What's more, there will be an audiobook produced by Canadian skydiver and narrator Ken Pollard.

I will keep you posted about the release date, ordering information and book signing events with Jerry. He is planning to have a signing at Z-Hills Skydive City this fall and also at this year's International Skydiving Museum's Hall of Fame event at Lake Wales, Florida, November 6-8.

Sam Alexander and Raylene West are co-creators and contributors to the project. They spent many hours recording Jerry's stories that are an important part of the book. Big thanks to Chris Johnston for creating the book cover from a favorite historic photo of Jerry's (taken by Carl Boenish) with a recent one Chris took of Jerry at Skydive City.
